Shafika has worked extensively, both locally & globally on appropriating digital techologies to promote quality, equal education for all.

Her experience ranges from pioneering community education programmes in Africa; gender equity advocacy; designing & implementing system-wide programmes, building partnerships, skills training, professional coaching, research & M&E. She has built CBOs and NGOs in Africa, advised and supported UN agencies, donors, philanthropies, governments & CSI foundations.

Shafika is a PhD Candidate at the University of Johannesburg Soweto Campus; has an Executive MBA with distinction from the University of Cape Town and as Mandela Scholar, obtained an M Sc in Science & Technology Policy at Sussex University. She is a qualified Consciousness Coach and has published widely on ICT and human development.
